“In the beginning of 2011, I was introduced to the men of the Great Ditch Road Hunt Club. Little did I know how much of an impact that these men, who are now known as Combat Warriors, would have on my life physically and mentally.
For four years I was told I would never hunt or fish again. In January 2011 I was presented the opportunity to go on a duck hunt, and I decided go, even against doctors orders.
When I arrived at the duck hunt, I met some of the most genuine, down-to-earth men I’ve ever met. Not once did my injuries or medical condition come up. For the entire weekend, all I heard from them was, “You can do this; come on, Dean, you’re going with us.” Before I knew it, all those doctors’ voices were gone, and these gentlemen showed me that, “I could,” instead of, “I can’t.” My hat is off and my head is bowed to the Combat Warriors for the rest of my life.”
