First Annual Scotland Neck Combat Warrior Appreciation Deer Hunt

To preface this brand new Combat Warrior event, imagine a group of people who are openhearted, patriotic citizens  that love their military and want to show them. Like kids at Christmas, there was enormous enthusiasm to create a venue that welcomed and embraced Combat Warriors to Scotland Neck’s First Annual Combat Warrior Appreciation Deer Hunting Event. Many people in Scotland Neck and beyond assisted in months of planning. The event took place at Buckshot Hunt Club. Flag poles were built to line the streets with American flags. Land owners from four counties ,hunt clubs, the community of Scotland Neck, the Mayor, business owners, church families and many caring individuals got involved.

On 06 December 2019, twenty nine Warriors arrived for the weekend’s Deer hunt. Many guides were ready for the hunt! Many volunteers, including volunteer Warriors were there to make the event a total success! Meals of steaks, barbecue and chicken kept the grills on fire. Homemade fix ins, desserts and much more prevented anyone from being hungry. A dog attack demonstration was Saturday lunch entertainment and a live band entertained the Warriors Saturday evening. The deer hunting was plentiful!! An enormous fire burned all weekend. Rest and relaxation, kindness and compassion was abundant for the Warriors. Simply said, a fine event!
